“Spring Seminar Mahoney State Park - 2009”
APICS - Midlands and Great Plains Chapters
| Metrics-Based Process Mapping (MBPM) is an analysis tool designed to surface waste in non-manufacturing processes and support Lean Transformations beyond the shop floor. This visual, team-oriented, methodology integrates the key lean metrics of time and quality together with swim-lane style process maps. Highly effective for improving cross-functional administrative processes, MBPM has proven to be especially effective when used within office-based Kaizen Events. While this approach was created primarily for quickly understanding and improving transactional, analytical, and service processes, it is also effective when improving cross-functional manufacturing processes and the accompanying information flows. | |
