"Detailed Scheduling and Planning" - APICS Midlands Chapter CPIM Preparatory Class  
Primary focus on the various techniques for material and capacity scheduling. Study detailed descriptions of
material requirements planning (MRP), capacity requirements planning (CRP), inventory management practices,
and procurement and supplier planning. Topics include:
• Recognizing Techniques and Practices of Inventory Management
• Mechanics of the Detailed Material Planning Process
• Planning Operations to Support the Priority Plan
• Planning Procurement and External Sources of Supply.
 
This is an excellent introductory course for the student who wants an
overview of the concepts of the APICS (American Production and Inventory
Control Society) CPIM (Certification in Production and Inventory
Management) body of knowledge. "Detailed Scheduling and Planning" is
the third in a series of five CPIM modules. The CPIM program is
designed for the professional working in the field of materials or
operations management, who wants to continue to evolve, and incorporate
new and relevant information into his/her body of knowledge.
 
The DSP class is ten sessions long and will meet Tuesday’s from 4:30PM
until 7:30PM starting Tuesday, May 8th and ending Tuesday, July 17th, 2012.
The class will be held at Crown Cork and Seal at 4133 S 72nd St,
Omaha, NE 68127 (72nd Street and I80).
This class will be instructed by Reuben Olson.
 
The class will be offered to members for $475 and nonmembers for $550. This
price includes all the class materials as well as an exam voucher for
the test.
