"Execution and Control of Operations" - APICS Midlands Chapter CPIM Preparatory Class  
Focus on the areas of prioritizing and sequencing work, executing work plans and implementing controls,
reporting activity results, and providing feedback on performance. The course explains techniques for
scheduling and controlling production processes, the execution of quality initiatives and continuous
improvement plans, and the control and handling of inventories. Topics include:
• Prioritizing and Sequencing Work
• Executing Plans and Implementing Controls
• Authorizing and Reporting Activities for Push and Pull Systems
• Evaluating Performance and Providing Feedback.
 
This is an excellent introductory course for the student who wants an
overview of the concepts of the APICS (American Production and Inventory
Control Society) CPIM (Certification in Production and Inventory
Management) body of knowledge. "Execution and Control of Operations" is
the fourth in a series of five CPIM modules. The CPIM program is
designed for the professional working in the field of materials or
operations management, who wants to continue to evolve, and incorporate
new and relevant information into his/her body of knowledge.
 
Classes will be held Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday,
January 17th, 2011 going through Tuesday March 13th, 2012. The classes will be taught by Reuben Olson.

The deadline for registration is Monday January 9th, 2012.  
The enrollment fee for members is $475 and includes all the class materials as well as an exam voucher for the test.
