Division Director of Materials and Distribution. Base salary $110-120 + bonus 20% to 45%. The bonus has an excellent track record and paid at the target of 20% for 2009. Location Western Michigan. Large, multi plant, high volume sheet metal fabrication, stamping and assembly division. Well run operation. Strong parent company. Responsible for Materials, Distribution and Purchasing. Between $400 and $500 million annual sales volume. Travel is required, but the plants are all in North America.
 
Materials Manager. Base $110 to $120 + bonus. Wisconsin. Responsible for materials and plant level purchasing with heavier emphasis on the Materials/Systems side. Metal fabrication experience required. APICS certification preferred.

POSITION CHARTER:
 
Reporting to the Head of Global Procurement, the role will focus on selection, design, development and implementation of global supply chain strategies for specific active ingredient families/products, continuously enhancing supply chain financial performance and competitiveness in the market place.
 
This individual will be responsible for leadership and co-ordination along the entire global supply chain, with a focus on EBITDA contribution, COGS, flexible responsiveness, optimised delivery to market, clear customer orientation, fixed assets, working capital and product range. This individual will be expected to champion Continuous Improvement within the global Supply Chain team and in so doing monitor, publish and share all improvement initiatives thereby communicating overall Supply Chain achievement and progress, whilst encouraging adoption of best practices.
 
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
AI Strategies, Supply Concepts & Supply Chain Design
• To contribute to the business performance enhancement globally and in each region through selecting, designing and implementing product supply chain concepts and strategies which are aligned to overall business strategies.
• To lead, develop, manage, update and document the strategic supply chain design for each of the allocated AI families, and proactively identify potential opportunities or issues within the short to mid-term planning horizon, in order to take advantage of, or resolve them with key stakeholders.
• To manage the allocated AI portfolio through all life cycle stages, from product development to phase-out, and to enhance customer focused product offers by value-adding supply chain responsiveness.
• To resolve global product issues by closely coordinating with regional management teams.
 
COGS, Inventory & Range Management
• To optimize financial performance and deliver cost effective, robust product supply chains. To be accountable for setting total cost of supply and global inventory targets, to ensure clear accountability for the delivery of those targets (including monitoring and tracking performance through appropriate KPIs) and to actively contribute to product range management.
• To monitor progress, ensure accurate valuation and accurate assessment of delivery risk for all SC cost improvement initiatives. To publish the monthly tracker and highlight areas of opportunity/concern.
 
Operational
• To resolve major operational issues in a timely way and identify improvements, including initiation of an issues management process.
 
Leadership, Links within Arysta & Communication
• To form and lead Product Supply Chain Teams, to act as the principle link from Global Supply Chain with Global Product Management, Regulatory, Sales and Marketing Groups, counseling them in all aspects of operational and strategic supply concepts. To lead the evaluation of new solutions as well as, after approval, to ensure their implementation.
• To obtain support and buy-in to new projects from key stakeholders and opinion leaders along the product supply chains, to ensure proper design and delivery of change projects.
• To optimize the use of both in-house and third party assets, together with the Regional Supply Managers, by identifying and prioritizing new projects which are strategically aligned with the global asset strategy, or which lead to improved network configurations.
• To establish and maintain effective working relationships (including a coaching and counseling role for change projects) with respective stakeholders within Global and Regional Supply, Global Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Regulatory and other key functions.
• To champion and raise HSE awareness within Product Supply Chain Teams.
• To lead, improve and ensure excellent communication along the supply chain by consultation and influence with all supply chain stakeholders.
 
EXPERIENCE:
• Strong supply chain management experience within cost focused and regulated environments.
• Experience in change management and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to conceive and lead supply chain transformation initiatives.

POSITION CHARTER:
 
Reporting to the Head of Global Procurement, the role will focus on managing the overall aspects of buying/purchasing to enable profitable growth. The job holder will be responsible for all purchasing and related contract functions, participating in the development of the company’s strategic purchasing plans, and the annual consolidated purchasing process in line with the ongoing project schedules, time tables and needs of the business.
 
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and direct the procurement strategies. This includes the identification of suppliers for strategic alliances and the understanding of the key cost drivers of all products and goods items.
• Review and analyze long term agreements for evaluation and supplier selection.
• Work on supply agreements and contracts to enhance purchasing synergies for supplies.
• Negotiate pricing and purchasing responsibilities for materials and active ingredients, including unit price, freight and payment terms for global requirements. Seek agreement for implementation globally and issue supply agreements and contracts.
• Manage and participate in the strategic procurement activities for active ingredient and formulation raw materials in support of the business.
• Optimize and reduce the total cost of ownership of raw materials/active ingredients while improving working capital objectives
• Manage key supplier relationships ensuring the timely, accurate, and quality-focused delivery of active ingredients and raw materials.
• Manage continuous improvement to lower costs, and ensure supply in alignment with Arysta’s business strategy.
• Development of and conformance to key metrics for the operation including: cost reduction targets, year on year standard cost control, and factory satisfaction measures.
• Understand, track and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for assigned commodities.
• Implement appropriate sourcing strategies to control the company’s purchased material costs and to assure an adequate source of supply.
• Develop strategies for tracking companywide purchasing activity to include spend analysis, market and geographic considerations, strategic importance, etc.

SUMMARY
Coordinates and directs the flow of materials within the warehouse by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Packages and crates product in preparation of shipment. Packages vary from cardboard boxes to large wooden crates.
Manages employees involved with material flow and upkeep of warehouse operation.

Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.

Manage initiatives & investments in the Columbus-West IT portfolio
